Intellectual Property

1.Qapacity Background IP

Qapacity owns, or is licensed to use, its background intellectual property, including:

• software;
• ontology;
• schemas;
• matching logic;
• graph structure;
• workflow design;
• aggregated insights;
• platform documentation.

Aggregated insights are derived from activity across the platform in a form that does not identify a customer’s confidential requirements or a provider’s confidential information. [Aggregation and anonymisation standard to be confirmed.]

2.Customer IP

Customers retain ownership of their:

• technical requirements;
• device information;
• uploaded documents;
• project information;
• confidential results.

Customers grant Qapacity a non-exclusive licence to use this material only as necessary to provide the service — for example to store it, structure it, match it against facilities and share it with the recipients the customer selects.

3.Provider IP

Providers retain ownership of their:

• provider-supplied capability descriptions;
• technical documents;
• pricing;
• confidential information.

Providers grant Qapacity a non-exclusive licence to use this material as necessary to provide the service, including publishing capability information on published facility profiles and using it in matching. Confidential provider information is not published.

4.Inventions and results

Qapacity does not claim ownership of customer inventions, designs, data or results merely because Qapacity helped locate infrastructure or coordinate access. Ownership of results produced by a provider is governed by the agreement between the customer and that provider.

5.Third-party sources

Information derived from public sources remains subject to the rights of its owners. We record the source and permitted-use basis, and give attribution where required.

6.Feedback

If you give us suggestions about the platform, we may use them to improve Qapacity without obligation to you. This does not apply to your confidential information.
